Network Engineering and Security

  • Network Capacity Planning: Proven experience in network capacity planning for secure and high-availability DoD networks.
  • Network Security Principles: Application of network security measures in compliance with DoD standards (e.g., DoD Directive 8570.01-M).
  • Network Management Best Practices: Utilization of SNMP-based tools like SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.
  • Network Design and Development: Designing secure networks with firewalls, IDS, and secure communication protocols.

Systems Engineering and Architecture

  • Systems Engineering: Integration of hardware and software components in line with military standards.
  • Systems of Systems: Developing architectures ensuring interoperability across various DoD subsystems.
  • Data Mesh Design: Implementing decentralized data management principles.
  • Zero Trust Architecture: Continuous verification and micro-segmentation.
  • Microservice Architecture: Designing scalable applications with independent deployment.

Access and Data Management

  • Access Management: Managing authentication and authorization for classified systems.

  • Provide collaborative technical leadership alongside industry and government partners to establish high level data mesh design patterns and proofs of concept/ prototypes suited to a complex multi-vendor, multi-organization environment (i.e. using tools like Kubernetes for container orchestration, DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design for guidance).
  • Proactively identifies and develops solutions to identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance to with global standards as well as interoperability with DoD systems (i.e. apply Risk Management Framework for DoD IT, STIG Viewer for Security Technical Implement Guide / STIG).
  • Create and review others' relevant documentation, such as diagrams, detailed assessments, and design document (i.e. Microsoft Visio for diagramming, Cameo Systems Modeler for system architecture modeling).
  • Assist in the evaluation of new products and services; make recommendations for improvements and assist in the development and documentation of network architecture (i.e. SolarWinds for network performance monitoring, Cisco Packet Tracer for network simulation, Splunk for log management)
  • Serves as a senior technical advisor in formulating the technical approaches, selection of the tools, diagnostics methods for solving the customer problems utilizing artificial intelligence in a timely manner (i.e. Tensorflow and PyTorch for AI Mode development).
