Full Stack Software Engineer

We are in search of a team of Full Stack Software Engineers who will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining DoD access control systems and other software. This dynamic role is perfect for someone who blends Software Engineering and Technical Writing with Data Architecture in a fast-paced, innovative DoD environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and ready to contribute at the foundational level of a rapidly growing organization.

KEY SKILLS:
Programming experience:

  • Python for back end development, data processing, and integration with security protocols.
  • JavaScript for front-end development, ensuring dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
  • Java for building robust, scalable, and secure enterprise-level applications.

Prior experience implementing best practices in web security:

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using protocols like SAML or OAuth2, and managing enterprise access using tools like Okta or Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Enterprise Access Management.
  • Attribute-based access control (ABAC) systems to enforce fine-grained access policies based on user attributes and context.

Great technical writing skills:

  • System designs, API documentation, security policies, and user manuals.
  • Clear, concise, and comprehensive documents that facilitate understanding and implementation of complex systems.

Strong communication skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security analysts, data scientists, and policy makers.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and gather requirements to ensure the development aligns with organizational goals.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • Develop Prototypes for Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) Systems (i.e. Utilize frameworks like Open Policy Agent (OPA) and XACML to define and enforce access control policies. )
  • Integrate with Relevant Systems and Standards (i.e. Work with Open Policy Agent (OPA) for policy enforcement, XACML for defining access control rules, Keycloak for identity and access management, Active Directory and LDAP for directory services, and OpenTDF for secure data sharing)
  • Prototype Intuitive Browser-Based User Interfaces (i.e. Utilize front-end technologies like React or Angular to create intuitive dashboards and control panels. )
  • Write Documentation Describing How ABAC Prototypes Can Be Adapted and Utilized by Other CDAO Programs (i.e. writing clear and concise manuals that explain how to deploy and configure ABAC systems within various DoD environments).

Pay: $112,929.00 - $179,938.00 per year
